Dog Walks: Scottish Highlands Applecross Coral Beach.

Dog Walks: Scottish Highlands Applecross Coral Beach – I recommend to get to this start point that you take a drive up the Bealach na Ba which is Gaelic for Pass of the Cattle.  It is the most amazing drive, stunning scenery, very memorable.  The walk itself is quite short but we saw Deer towards the coast, and then the small but beautiful beach at Ard Ban.  The Applecross Inn is a must for refreshments, and then on your return journey I recommend that you drive up the coastline from Applecross, another simply stunning drive……Enjoy!

Dog Walks: Scottish Highlands Applecross Coral Beach Route:

From the car park, cross over the road and walk down the the road towards Ard Dhubh for a short distance.

You will then see a stony ramp goes off the left with wooden footpath marker signing Ard Ban and Coillegillie, take this footpath to the left here across the moorland.

The path you are walking on over the moorland is running almost parallel to the water over to the right, we were lucky enough to see deer here.  Follow this path for a fair distance.

You will then pass down some rocky steps then come to a junction with a footpath marker on the right, the footpath is siging straight on to Coillegillie and to the right Ard Ban, here you turn right and follow the footpath around the cove.

Continue on the footpath and it will lead you into a field, here you walk straight ahead and down to the small but very pretty Coral Beach, enjoy the great scenery across to Raasay, Rona and Skye.

You return by the same route.
